You are not alone.

I truly understand what it is like feel unheard and unseen as a patient because I have been there.

Years ago, I was struggling with a neurological disorder that no one seemed to understand. I went from one emergency room to the next, only to be met with frustration and a lack of answers. It wasn’t until I reached a point where I could no longer walk that they finally took my concerns seriously and began running tests. That’s when they discovered I had a virus that attacked my immune system. Although I was happy to finally be taken seriously, there was no clear treatment plan for what I had.

I realized I would have to take matters into my own hands. This experience led me to the world of functional and lifestyle medicine. I started learning how to heal myself, exploring areas like nutrition, energy healing, sleep, and meditation. While making these changes wasn’t easy and certainly didn’t happen overnight, they were some of the most transformative shifts in my journey toward better health, physically and mentally.

I share this story because I want you to know that you’re not alone. I’ve walked that difficult path, and I am here to help guide you as you navigate your own journey to healing. Together, we can find the solutions that are right for you.

Education, Training, and Professional Background

I’m a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) with a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP), dedicated to helping individuals heal and thrive through a whole-person approach to care. My background combines advanced clinical training with integrative, functional, and energy-based healing methods.

I’ve completed extensive coursework in Functional Medicine through both the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM) and the School of Applied Functional Medicine (SAFM), where I developed a strong foundation in systems-based, root-cause medicine. I also hold a certificate in Lifestyle and Wellness Coaching from Harvard Medical School Executive Education.

In addition to my conventional and functional medicine background, I’m certified in energy and emotional healing practices, including Reiki, Emotion Code, and trauma-informed hypnosis. I have completed hypnotherapy training through the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (ISSTD), allowing me to support patients on both physical, emotional, and subconscious levels.

I am an active member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, the School of Applied Functional Medicine, and the American Holistic Nurses Association—professional communities that align with my commitment to evidence-based, integrative healing.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of contributing to several publications and presentations on topics such as the Whole School, Whole Child, Whole Community model for improving health in urban early learning centers, the Kenya Heart and Sole Quick Look Guide for cardiovascular disease evaluation, and the role of touch therapies in healthcare. These experiences have further enriched my approach to patient care.
